QURECA featured in Converge 2022 Shortlist of Academic Innovation

QURECA (Quantum Resources & Careers) was recently shortlisted in Converge 2022 challenge of breakthrough innovation in quantum technologies.  

Converge, Scotland’s largest company creation and enterprise programme for the university sector, has announced its most innovative shortlist for the 2022 programme of companies taking an entrepreneurial leap from academic to industry. Emerged from the University of Strathclyde, QURECA has been working on creating innovative initiatives for the development of the quantum ecosystem with significant economic potential and scalability. QURECA will participate in Converge entrepreneurial training programme and undergo additional business training before pitching live to a panel of investors and business experts. The Converge challenge will be extremely beneficial to QURECA’s long-term growth. 

Founded by Dr. Araceli Venegas-Gomez, QURECA has been at the vanguard of quantum workforce development and education around the world. In 2019, the Royal Society described QURECA Ltd. as the company that “fills the gaps in the existing quantum community, creating a society ready for quantum through a common language.”  QURECA stands out as the only company focussed on education and skills for the quantum workforce providing the e-learning platform as well as bridging the link to a broad network of stakeholders in the quantum community.  

QURECA also offers a wide range of professional services to support the development of the quantum workforce and educate individuals and businesses with the quantum skills and knowledge needed worldwide. QURECA has organized and participated in a number of quantum conferences and events aimed at raising awareness of quantum technology and promoting the regional and international quantum community. 

The founder and CEO attended the “Inside Innovation – Pitching Showcase” in Edinburgh the 23rd of June 2022.
