Quantum Latino 2026: Building a Connected Quantum Community in Latin America
Quantum technologies are moving from research laboratories towards real-world applications, creating new opportunities across industry, academia, entrepreneurship and talent development. As the global quantum ecosystem continues to grow, Latin America is developing its own network of researchers, businesses, start-ups, educators and emerging talent. At the centre of this development is Quantum Latino 2026, an event dedicated to raising awareness, promoting quantum technologies and strengthening connections across the region. Discover Quantum Latino 2026
Taking place from 21–23 October 2026, Quantum Latino will be held as a hybrid conference at Universidad EIA in Envigado, Colombia, bringing together researchers, entrepreneurs, start-ups and industry collaborators for three days of learning, knowledge exchange, networking and collaboration. The event aims to create a connected quantum community where participants can learn, exchange ideas and contribute to the growth of the Latin American quantum ecosystem.
Connecting Research, Industry and Talent
Quantum Latino is designed as more than a traditional conference. Its programme connects different parts of the quantum ecosystem, creating opportunities for collaboration between scientific research, business, government, education and the wider public.
The 2026 programme is built around three themes: Quantum Research, Quantum Business and Quantum for Everyone. The first day will focus on scientific developments, research talks, keynotes, careers and networking. The second will explore the commercialisation of quantum technologies, bringing together industry representatives, government, investors, start-ups and end users through sessions, workshops and panel discussions. The final day, Quantum for Everyone, will broaden the conversation beyond specialist audiences through outreach activities, hands-on quantum computing workshops and a quantum chess and board-games tournament. This reflects an essential part of building a sustainable quantum ecosystem: making quantum technologies understandable and accessible while creating pathways for people to develop the skills needed for the future.
The Organisations Behind Quantum Latino 2026
Quantum Latino 2026 is organised by QURECA, TEC12 and INEXSU, three organisations bringing complementary expertise across quantum technology, emerging technologies, education and professional development. Meet the Quantum Latino organisers
QURECA — Connecting the Quantum Workforce
As the lead organiser, QURECA plays a central role in connecting the communities needed to build a sustainable quantum ecosystem. QURECA provides professional services, business development, event management, education, training and recruitment, with a particular focus on addressing the quantum workforce skills gap.
Its contribution to Quantum Latino goes beyond organising the event. QURECA’s experience in quantum education and workforce development directly supports the conference’s focus on careers, skills and accessibility. Through online courses, customised training and educational partnerships, QURECA helps individuals and organisations develop the knowledge needed to become quantum-ready. TEC12 — Connecting Emerging Technologies and Industry
TEC12 brings a strong science and technology perspective to Quantum Latino. The organisation focuses on integrating emerging technologies across different sectors and has developed a network of organisations and institutions throughout the Americas. Its work has included projects involving areas such as AI in Education, the Internet of Things and Data Science in Agriculture.
TEC12’s involvement strengthens the event’s focus on the practical potential of emerging technologies. As quantum technologies progress towards real-world applications, connections between technology developers, businesses, institutions and wider innovation ecosystems become increasingly important. TEC12 helps reinforce this cross-sector perspective, supporting conversations around how emerging technologies can contribute to innovation across Latin America.
INEXSU — Putting People and Education at the Centre
INEXSU contributes an important social and educational dimension to Quantum Latino. It is a network of social and educational initiatives supporting people in their personal, vocational and professional development, with a mission centred on innovative training solutions.
This perspective is particularly relevant to the Quantum for Everyone programme. The future of quantum technology depends not only on researchers and engineers, but also on students, educators, professionals and communities having opportunities to understand the technology and explore potential career pathways. INEXSU’s contribution helps strengthen the people-centred side of the quantum transition.
Why Quantum Latino Matters
Building a successful quantum ecosystem requires more than technological breakthroughs. It depends on people, skills, collaboration, investment, education and access to knowledge. For Latin America, creating stronger connections between these areas can support the region’s participation in the global quantum landscape.
Quantum Latino provides a space where these communities can meet. Researchers can share their work and build collaborations; businesses can explore applications and partnerships; investors and policymakers can discuss opportunities; and students can discover education and career pathways within the growing quantum sector.
This mission closely aligns with QURECA’s wider commitment to developing quantum talent. Its learning platform provides training across quantum technologies and applications, while its educational solutions support learners from introductory levels through to professional and industry-focused training.
Looking Towards the Future
Quantum Latino 2026 represents an important opportunity to strengthen connections across Latin America and encourage greater participation in the global quantum ecosystem. Its combination of research, business, education, outreach and networking creates space for participants to move beyond discussion and towards meaningful collaboration.
The partnership between QURECA, TEC12 and INEXSU is central to this ambition. Each organisation contributes a different perspective, helping connect technology with business, research with talent, and innovation with society.
Whether you are a researcher, entrepreneur, start-up, industry professional, student or simply interested in understanding quantum technologies, Quantum Latino 2026 offers an opportunity to learn, connect and contribute.
