The session, titled “Quantum Artificial Intelligence for Bioinformatics and Biostatistics: Theory, Algorithms, and Applications,” will take place within the 21st International Conference on Computational Intelligence Methods for Bioinformatics and Biostatistics (CIBB 2026), which will be held at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, on September 2-4 2026. The session will focus on the intersection of quantum computing, AI, and computational biology, including topics such as quantum and quantum-inspired algorithms for sequence analysis and phylogenetics, quantum kernels and graph methods, hybrid quantum–classical workflows, and NISQ-compatible approaches for analyzing large-scale biological data.
