🎲Qubit Race: Our First Quantum Board Game
Thank you to everyone who backed Qubit Race, QURECA’s first quantum board and card game designed to bring quantum concepts to the kitchen table. Suitable for ages 6 and up and playable in 30–60 minutes with 2–4 players, the game turns the world of quantum careers into an accessible, fast-paced race. Players choose a quantum career path, pick their qubit, and navigate real-world inspired challenges—learning about superposition, entanglement, quantum gates, and strategy along the way, without needing any prior physics background.
The Kickstarter campaign marked a key step in QURECA’s mission to make quantum technologies engaging for families, schools, and newcomers to the field, and community feedback is already shaping the next round of editions and resources. If you missed the Kickstarter, you can already order the game in our catalogue. Help us bring Qubit Race into classrooms, outreach events, and game nights! Discover more about the game HERE.

ARC Project: Inside Scotland’s Quantum Ecosystem
In early June, QURECA was proud to host "Quantum ARC: Inside Scotland’s Quantum Ecosystem" at the Mazumdar-Shaw Advanced Research Centre in Glasgow, as part of Quantum Fringe 2026. The event marked a landmark milestone with the launch of a comprehensive ecosystem report, exploring how Scotland has built one of the world's top five quantum clusters and how it can maintain its strategic edge in the global quantum economy. We were privileged to welcome an exceptional line-up of speakers, including government representatives and leaders from EPSRC, Fraunhofer UK, and Technology Scotland, alongside the National Quantum Hubs and the Quantum Software Lab. Additionally, pioneering Scottish companies across the supply chain—including Quantcore, Kelvin Quantum, Quantatrace, Photon Force, Wideblue, Qinara, and QURECA—showcased their latest innovations. Thanks to the dedicated team and everyone who made it happen!
The full ecosystem report is now available on our website using the link below.

ETSI/IQC Quantum Safe Cryptography Conference 2026, Ottawa
QURECA Program Manager Maninder Kaur presented the poster “Quantum Security: Preparing for the Post-Quantum World” at the ETSI/IQC Quantum Safe Cryptography Conference 2026, held at Carleton University in Ottawa from 16–18 June. The conference brought together global experts from industry, government, and academia to tackle one of cybersecurity’s most urgent challenges: securing today’s data and critical infrastructure against future quantum attacks.
Maninder’s poster outlined a practical roadmap for organisations to move from awareness to action on post-quantum cryptography (PQC), covering risk assessment, crypto-agility, migration planning, and the importance of aligning security strategy with emerging standards. The work draws directly on QURECA’s quantum security consulting and training programmes, offering concrete steps for businesses that need to start their quantum-safe journey now rather than wait for the “Q-day.”
