QURECA Partners with QuantrolOx to Launch Quantum EDGE Academy
QURECA is pleased to announce a new partnership with QuantrolOx, the University of Oxford spin-out behind Quantum EDGE, a measurement and automation platform used to characterise, tune, and control qubits in quantum labs.
Through this partnership, Quantum EDGE Academy joins the QURECA catalogue as a simulator-first, hardware-focused training platform for quantum workforce development. The Academy works like a flight simulator for a quantum lab, helping universities, research institutions, and quantum companies give learners practical lab intuition before they work on real quantum systems.
Addressing the practical quantum workforce gap
Quantum computing education is often strong on theory but limited in practical hardware training. Lab time remains essential, but it is expensive, scarce, technically demanding, and difficult to scale with the number of people the industry needs.
Quantum EDGE Academy helps address this gap by bringing QuantrolOx’s measurement and automation workflows into a structured programme of courses built around realistic simulated practicals. Learners can build confidence, develop practical skills, and become better prepared for work in quantum laboratories and the wider quantum industry.
A partnership built on complementary strengths
QuantrolOx brings first-hand engineering expertise from Quantum EDGE, its measurement and automation platform used by quantum hardware teams today. QURECA contributes a global reputation in quantum education, a catalogue of more than 40 CPD-certified courses, and an established network across universities, research institutions, and industry.
Courses delivered through the partnership carry Continuing Professional Development certification through QURECA.
Expanding access through QURECA’s global network
As part of the partnership, QURECA will help raise the profile of Quantum EDGE Academy across its international network, including Europe, North America, Latin America, and India.
The partnership includes a joint launch across LinkedIn and newsletter channels, a dedicated demo webinar for research labs and university departments, and visibility at relevant industry events and conferences.
From simulation to real systems
The partnership also opens the door to new markets for Quantum EDGE Academy, drawing on QURECA’s international presence across Europe, North America, Latin America and India to introduce it to universities and research groups worldwide.
Institutions come to Quantum EDGE Academy from different starting points. Some are training people to work in a lab they already run. Some are staffing an expansion. Some are building quantum capability for the first time.
