Qilimanjaro and QURECA Partner to Strengthen Quantum Education and Workforce Development

Barcelona / Glasgow, October 2025 — Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech, a Barcelona-based full-stack quantum computing company, and QURECA Ltd, a global provider of quantum resources and career services based in the UK and Spain, have signed a collaboration agreement to advance quantum education, training, and talent development worldwide.

Araceli and Marta, CEOs of QURECA and Qilimanjaro

This partnership combines Qilimanjaro’s expertise in analogue and hybrid quantum computing systems with QURECA’s educational platforms and training programs, creating new opportunities to connect industry, academia, and the next generation of quantum professionals. Together, both organisations aim to accelerate the transfer of quantum knowledge from research to real-world applications.

As part of this collaboration, QURECA will contribute its international experience in quantum training, professional certification, and skills development, while Qilimanjaro will provide hands-on access to its SpeQtrum QaaS hybrid platform—enabling students and professionals to engage directly with analogue and digital quantum hardware.

“This partnership is a natural step for Qilimanjaro as we continue bridging the gap between quantum research and practical use cases,” said Marta P. Estarellas, CEO of Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech. “By joining forces with QURECA, we can help shape a stronger, better-prepared quantum workforce equipped to make meaningful contributions to the field.”

Analogue quantum computers encode complex problems naturally within the system, resulting in more stable qubits and fewer errors at the circuit level. This bypasses the error correction required by the more common digital systems, which use programmable qubits and quantum gates.  Using a hybridised approach of analogue, digital and classical supercomputers, Qilimanjaro’s platform is designed to maximise the utility of each system to unlock real computational value years ahead of digital-only roadmaps.

“The collaboration between QURECA and Qilimanjaro is driven by our shared commitment to empowering individuals and organisations with the skills and knowledge required for the quantum future. By combining QURECA’s expertise in quantum educational development with Qilimanjaro’s quantum computing technological innovation, we are building accessible, high-impact training pathways that bridge the gap between research and industry needs in quantum technologies,” said Araceli Venegas-Gomez, CEO and Founder of QURECA.

The collaboration will include joint educational initiatives, workshops, and content development focused on analogue and hybrid quantum computing, with the goal of preparing the quantum workforce for emerging industrial and research needs.

About Qilimanjaro

Based in Barcelona, Qilimanjaro is a quantum computing company, fast-tracking useful quantum computers via the development of the company’s signature analogue quantum chips. Founded in 2019, Qilimanjaro builds full-stack quantum computers based on fluxonium analogue qubits. This novel architecture bypasses the need for error correction and unlocks faster, more scalable solutions. Analogue quantum systems provide near-term advantages in simulation, optimisation, and AI, where digital QPUs either fall short or require massive overhead. The company follows this dual technology strategy to expand access to quantum computing resources now. First,  the SpeQtrum QaaS platform provides remote access to hybrid quantum data centres combining analogue, digital, and classical compute. Second, the company’s on-premise systems offer full-stack and modular quantum integration, both for analogue and digital QPUs for HPC centres and research institutions.
