QURECA × Paraxiom: securing Europe's quantum-safe networks
|
Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) networks share keys securely between nodes, but what about the final stage of the journey from the network to the application? QURECA has partnered with Montréal-based Paraxiom Technologies to bring its Post-Quantum Transport Gateway (PQTG) to Europe. PQTG protects that last link using standardised post-quantum algorithms, with no changes to the quantum hardware.
QURECA will connect Paraxiom with telecom operators and quantum communication programmes across Europe as the two teams work towards a first European pilot. It's a joined-up route for organisations, from getting to grips with quantum-safe security to putting it into practice.

Global Quantum Supply Chains: A Connected Industry
|
A new international survey of the quantum industry shows how deeply interconnected the sector has become. Responses from 160 companies across 15 countries reveal supply-chain links spanning 36 supplier countries, 49 customer countries and 25 manufacturing locations. QURECA’s Director of Technology Strategy and India Ecosystem Liaison, Abhishek Purohit, contributed insights into India’s role in this emerging global ecosystem.
The Global Quantum Supply Chain study, developed by QED-C, QuIC, Quantum Industry Canada, UK Quantum, Q-STAR and KQIA, maps these cross-border connections and highlights the growing importance of specialised suppliers, manufacturing capabilities and access to international markets as quantum technologies move towards commercialisation.

Proud supporters of the Quantum + AI Tech Show
|
The first week of November is a critical one in the calendar for the UK's quantum sector, and the Quantum + AI Tech Show is shaping up to be one of the main new attractions. We're proud to partner with this event, taking place on 4 November 2026 in London. Bringing together enterprise buyers, government, defence, investors, researchers and technology pioneers, the show features three senior summits, practical LAB Clinics and Creative LDN: Quantum Edition. It's built for leaders preparing, investing and deploying, not simply discussing what quantum might become. Attendance is complementary for our subscribers if you register through the link below.
We'll of course be there, and we're looking forward to catching up with old colleagues and making new connections across quantum and AI.

Bringing quantum learning to life at NEWTON-Q 2026
|
How do you bring quantum concepts to life, whether you're a first-year student or a seasoned professional? Garth Haley shared some ideas at NEWTON-Q 2026, hosted by Newcastle University, where he spoke about innovative approaches to quantum education. These ranged from hands-on activities with the Qureka box! to games including our very own Qubit Race, as well as |HOP> Quantum Game and Niels' Chess.
He also explored lab toolkits and simulations such as QuantrolOx's Quantum EDGE Academy, KwanTEACH and SpinEDU (more details about these on our website!). With students, postgraduates and industry experts in the room, the message was clear: wherever you are on your quantum journey, there's a tool to help you take the next step.

CAE and QURECA Explore Quantum Technologies
|
CAE (Chinese Aeronautical Establishment), one of China's leading aerospace companies, visited us in Barcelona this month; discussions focused on computing, security, and sensor technologies applied to the sector.

Getting telecoms quantum-ready at Network X
|
Is your team ready for quantum? Garth Haley will be heading to Network X in Vienna on 15 October to help telecom operators answer that question. In his presentation, "Quantum readiness: up-skilling and cross-skilling teams for quantum deployment", Garth will explore why operators need to prepare now, where to find talent, and which skills matter most, from physicists and engineers to practitioners. He'll also look at the wider quantum communications landscape across Europe and moderate a panel discussion on developing full-stack quantum networks. Both sessions are part of the free programme on the Innovation Stage which focusses on quantum during the final day of the conference. Follow the link to explore the agenda and book your tickets.
