SUMMARY:ACM Symposium on Principles of Distributed Computing
DESCRIPTION:PODC 2024 will be held in Nantes\, France\, on\nJune 17-21\, 2024 \nSee PODC 2023 for news about last year’s conference.  In particular\, \n\nSee the program schedule and list of accepted papers.\nThe invited speakers were :\n\nRoger Wattenhofer as keynote speaker of PODC 2023 with a keynote “From Distributed Algorithms to Machine Learning and Back”\nFive FCRC plenary speakers (one for each day of the conference including workshops/tutorials). The plenary speakers are part of the program for all FCRC conferences (including PODC 2023). More information about plenary speakers is available here.\n\n\n\nFollow PODC on Twitter: @podc_disc. \nScope\nThe ACM Symposium on Principles of Distributed Computing is an international forum on the theory\, design\, analysis\, implementation and application of distributed systems and networks. We solicit papers in all areas of distributed computing. Papers from all viewpoints\, including theory\, practice\, and experimentation\, are welcome. The goal of the conference is to improve understanding of the principles underlying distributed computing. Topics of interest include\, but are not limited to\, the following: \n\nbiological distributed algorithms and systems\nblockchain and decentralized finance protocols\ncoding and reliable communication\ncommunication networks\ncombinatorics and topology of distributed computing\nconcurrency\, synchronization\, and persistence\ndesign and analysis of distributed algorithms\ndistributed and cloud storage\ndistributed and concurrent data structures\ndistributed computation for large-scale data\ndistributed graph algorithms\ndistributed machine learning and artificial intelligence\ndistributed operating systems\, middleware\, databases\ndistributed resource management and scheduling\nfault-tolerance\, reliability\, self-organization\, and self-stabilization\ngame-theoretic approaches to distributed computing\nhigh-performance\, cluster\, cloud and grid computing\nInternet applications\nlanguages\, verification\, and formal methods for distributed systems\nlower bounds and impossibility results for distributed computing\nmobile computing and autonomous agents\nmultiprocessor and multi-core architectures and algorithms\npeer-to-peer systems\, overlay networks\, and social networks\npopulation protocols\nquantum and optics based distributed algorithms\nreplication and consistency\nsecurity and cryptography in distributed computing\nspecifications and semantics\nsystem-on-chip and network-on-chip architectures\ntransactional memory\nwireless\, sensor\, mesh\, and ad hoc networks
