Demonstrations and labs will be provided by industrial partners active in the field.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Topics<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul class=\"list-style-icon-4\">\n<li><strong>Detectors<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>PMTs, SPADs, SNSPDs, TESs (if you don\u2019t know the acronyms, come to the course!), how do we define detection efficiency? What is detector tomography?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sources<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Down conversion, quantum dots, nitrogen vacancies, What\u2019s the difference between a single photon source and simply \u2018faint light\u2019?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Measurements and use cases<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Detection efficiency, photon number, dark counts, jitter, dark counts.\u00a0What is \u2018spooky action at a distance\u2019?
