NIST will invite the submission teams for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/csrc.nist.gov\/projects\/post-quantum-cryptography\/round-4-submissions\" data-csrc-link=\"true\" data-node-guid=\"0673edab-7f27-4765-8bcd-b21830684056\">BIKE, Classic McEliece, Falcon, and HQC<\/a>\u00a0to give an update on their algorithms.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, NIST is soliciting research and discussion papers, surveys, presentations, case\u00a0studies, panel proposals, and participation from all interested parties, including researchers,\u00a0\u00a0system architects, implementors, vendors, and users. NIST will post the accepted papers and\u00a0presentations on the conference website after the conference; however, no formal proceedings\u00a0will be published. NIST encourages the submission of presentations and reports on preliminary\u00a0work that participants plan to publish elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>Topics for submissions should include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Classical and quantum cryptanalysis of the algorithms, including cryptanalysis of weakened\u202for toy versions<\/li>\n<li>Analysis of relative performance or resource requirements for some or all of the algorithms<\/li>\n<li>Assessments of classical and quantum security strengths of the algorithms<\/li>\n<li>Systemization of knowledge relevant to the NIST PQC standardization process<\/li>\n<li>Substantial improvements in the implementation of algorithms<\/li>\n<li>Improved analysis or proofs of properties of the selected algorithms\/candidates, even when this does not lead to\u202fany attack<\/li>\n<li>Proposed criteria to be used for selecting algorithms for standardization<\/li>\n<li>Testing and validations of implementations of PQC algorithms<\/li>\n<li>Impacts to existing applications and protocols (e.g., changes needed to\u202faccommodate specific algorithms)<\/li>\n<li>Steps or strategies for organizations to prepare for the coming transition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Submissions should be provided electronically, in PDF, for standard US letter-size paper (8.5 x\u00a011 inches). Submitted papers must not exceed 20 pages, excluding references and appendices\u00a0(single space, with 1-inch margins using a 10 pt or larger font).
